Thai Bar-B-Q Beef Sandwich


Take your taste buds to Bangkok with this smoky barbecued beef sandwich that’s packed with Southeast-Asian ingredients like Thai basil and sweet chili sauce.
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 Italian bun
  • 4 oz cooked shredded smoked beef brisket  
  • 2 cups mayonnaise 
  • 3 tablespoons Thai-style sweet chili sauce 
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce 
  • 6 oz red onion, thinly sliced 
  • 12 oz thin sliced mango  
  • 1 cup medium leaves Thai basil, torn in half 
  • 1/2 cup lime juice 
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil 
  • 3 tablespoons salt

DIRECTIONS

  1.        Mix mayonnaise and 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce together well.
  2.            Mix red onion, sliced mango, Thai basil leaves, lime juice, vegetable oil, and salt all together in a separate bowl. Set aside as Mango Salad.
  3.         Split bun in half and grill lightly. Spread both sides of bun with mayonnaise.
  4.            Mix beef with remaining 1 tbsp of sweet chili sauce.
  5.           Spoon Thai beef on bottom half of bun. Top with Mango Salad, then cover with top bun.
