Homemade pumpkin spice isn’t only for lattes and pies. When combined with pumpkin puree and the nostalgia of a classic malted milkshake, this creamy, blended drink meets all seasonal dessert requirements.
This is the classic vanilla malt with a twist– a seasonal flavor you won’t find on a the menu at a 50’s-style diner. Pureed pumpkin adds a creamy texture that blends with ice cream and whole milk, without the artificial flavors of store-bought pumpkin ice cream. Cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cardamom contribute necessary factors of your favorite pumpkin spice drink– without asking you to buy a pre-packaged pumpkin spice mix. Toss everything in the blender, and allow the malt powder to mix in a sense of nostalgia with hints of that distinct Whoppers-like, yet unexplainable taste. This pumpkin spice malted shake is the cozy treat you’ll crave at the start of fall.
