The fashion industry has never been known for its diversity at publications, clothing lines or on the catwalk. According to the runway diversity report, out of over 8,000 model castings in the fall of 2016, only 24% of models cast were of color. Despite not being fairly represented in the industry, Black women continue to push on and succeed in fashion.
